The One with My LOST Best Friends/100 Days/Youth

Every Tuesday night this amazing group of people gather for this monumental occasion we call LOST. When I tell you how great this show is, there is no exaggeration! So once a week we head to Logan's to eat chip and dip and brownies and watch LOST on the big screen! It really is so much fun! I mean we're all pretty fun people any way :) put us together for a spectacular combination! We throw out theories, scream, laugh, cry (ok, so I'm the only one that has cried in season six but I can't help no one else has a heart!)
Mrs. Connie Ramsey(mealplanningwithconnie.blogspot.com) makes the most AMAZING dip, so this time I naturally headed straight toward the fresh-out-of-the-oven dip and realized it was steaming for a reason AFTER I had taken a bite. I yelled in distress over my burnt tongue.. However, my sweet "family" was more worried about if the show had started than my burnt mouth! May I reiterate the blowing-away-ability this show has.... Probably a had-to-be-there-moment but you can take my word for it, it was funny.
I look forward to these great Tuesday nights :) so refreshing. I'm so thankful that I get to call these wonderful people friends/family:

We celebrated "100 Days til Graduation" today in AP Calculus! Anything for a party right?? Unsurprisingly I forgot until about 11 the night before I was supposed to bring something.. Thank goodness for butcher block and cheap biscuits! While rushing in and out( seem to be doing a lot of that), the cashier asked me about school next year and then she said, "Well wherever you go, just keep God in the center of your life. If I knew then what I know now, I would have had a much better college experience." Once I got to my car, I thought, "Wow, how awesome is our God to send little reminders through strangers that He wants us to remember Him, keep our focus on Him.. Just something special I thought I would share. I quickly arrived at the school thinking it might be somewhat bittersweet, as most senior events are, I soon realized it was all sweet after gazing upon the red velvet cake, chocolate oatmeal cookies, and chocolate cake! I believe I'll be gaining the Senior Seventeen instead of the Freshmen Fifteen!

Tonight we had Youth Share, like every Wednesday, but it just keeps getting better! We're in the process of finding a new youth minister, but our pastor, Brother Ken, is doing an amazing job. My new friend Kasey is doing a great job with the music as well, so Wednesday nights are something to look forward to as well! It's so refreshing to be in there with good people who love you and Jesus. Hopefully starting a small group bible study soon!

The One with Love

So as much as a romantic as I am, this past weekend, while fighting through the masses at the local Wal Mart, I realized that Valentine's Day might be a little over-hyped. I mean when you can't get down an aisle.. something is wrong! But I do love getting cards for my loved ones so I fought the masses anyway... My sweet boyfriend got me a season of Friends and a trip to Memphis!(One of my favorite places :)) We ate at Jim N Nicks Barbecue... It should be named Jim N Nick Amazing Cornbread Biscuits. The barbecue was great, don't get me wrong, but very few breads can rival that cornbread.. I had three biscuits out of the three baskets that were brought to our table, Will ate the rest! Then we headed off to the guitar center (I reluctantly turned down TCBY because I was so full on biscuits!) He played guitar, and I played keyboard for about an hour... My next goal will be to play like Billy Joel.. He's a new favorite... Then we headed to the mall to check out his fellow Memphis Finishline (did I tell you my boy's an Assistant Manager?? He said I should brag to everyone about it.. Consider this my brag :)) There were so many sales going on that I wanted to buy something from every store! However, I found having no money to be an obstacle.. We did get a Great American Cookie before departing in the snow :) My sweet grandparents gave me a "M" for my dorm room next year and some "New Moon" candy :) My parents got me a season of Friends for V-day too! I now am the proud owner of seasons 1-7! Only three left!! Mom and I have already gone through one disc.. I'm so addicted. Also, our youth had a 'barn dance' for Valentine's Day on Sunday night. We actually got a "professional" line dancer to come teach us how! It was SO much fun! I felt like a true country girl :) It was a wonderful idea from our pastor, and everyone loved it! Great food, music, and dancing! Sunday morning I came across 1 John 4:19: " We love because He first loved us." Thought it was an amazing Valentine's verse.. Sometimes I get really busy and don't think about all that Jesus does for us and just how much He loves us. It's nice to have a reminder.. There wouldn't be a "day of love" if Jesus hadn't first loved us and saved us. So whether we have valentines or be celebrating "singles awareness day," we have a permanent Valentine in Jesus who will always love us. He shows his love for us everyday, not just once a year, but with every sunrise :) Just something nice to think about.

The One with the Best Friends Ever

Ever had a really horrible, stressed out day.. then God send you some grace through some really amazing people? yeah, He did today. Thank you Jesus!

Kudos to my mom and Felicia today.. OCCASIONALLY (ha!) I have the tendency to take on much more than I can handle.. end up getting wayyyy stressed and go a little insane.. these two spent most of the day with me and put up with it! This is a huge accomplishment.. there should definitely be awards.. but for the time being, just a shout out on the blog to my amazing mom and sister :) I'm so blessed beyond imagine.

The One with the Everyday Life

So I've finally had time to see my wonderful family this week! With soccer and school I've been just about too busy for my own good! God has blessed me SO much with a loving family that is always there for me :) I reminisced with my aunt and uncle and ate wheat thins by the fire at my grandparents house.. (Wheat thins are my favorite snack ever, btw, and a must-have when I go to Mimi and Didi's) For those that don't know, my little cousin Will is already totally handsome and amazing at every sport(and no that's not biased!) and my BEAUTIFUL cousin Haley is a softball star that loves to ride around and sing in the car with me :) My parents, wonderful as they are, have lately been repelling technology.. for example, a knife in a paper shredder and hours spent on a new computer.. hopefully getting ready for the tough life of a facebooker! Love them all!

I stopped by Felicia Pollard's Second Grade class today to see my "sister" and ended up helping a Valentine's party! (and yes, I benefited from the miles of sugar the kids brought to share:)) While it was wonderful to see her and catch up, my self confidence was tested as a second grade kid smarted off to me! I mean really, kids these days! haha I was all irritated about it until I realized.. I was letting a second grader fire me up... Who knew Valentine's day could be so difficult??

Tonight the "drug store girls" (Montgomery Drugs Pharmacy, that is) went out to Red Lobster! Soooo much fun: Anna Russell, Brooke Russell, Emily McCord, and Ashley Wing are great co-workers/friends! We went through about three baskets of cheese biscuits and got honked at in the Starbucks drive-through.. what a night ;) p.s. Starbucks late at night= no sleep

The One About LOST

So it is finally LOST time. Season 6: The final season! There has been immense anticipation surging through us LOST watchers. While many may think we are being slightly over-the-top about a tv show, those who have seen
even a little bit of an episode should understand. This is the best show ever... (OK so maybe a tie with Friends) But it is really awesome.. And I'm unfortunatel
y completely addicted.. just what I need.. another distraction! I would definitely recommend that everyone get "LOST"... stimulates the brain.. seriously! My friends and I have LOST discussions constantly on what we think will happen.. LOST parties every Tuesday night! I'll post some pictures of my fellow LOST friends :)

The One with the North Half Champions

So lately I have been consumed with soccer: It's my senior year, and Pontotoc made it to the state championship for the first time ever! It has been an amazing experience. My team is quick with the jokes but very close. These girls have meant more to me than I could ever say.. The five seniors had a pre-game tradition... we would watch a Disney movie before every game. Once we entered the playoffs though, it was all war movies! 1st round-The Patriot, 2nd round- Braveheart, North Half-Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (the "real person" one), State Championship-Gladiator... Can you say pumped up?? haha Playing soccer under Coach Pettit has been such a blessing. That was definitely God's way of teaching me many life lessons.. while having a great time. I'm pretty sure there is not a soul in the world like Marty Pettit, and I am definitely thankful for him :) While he has poked fun at every member of the team, he is the most amazing coach with inspiring speeches no one has heard since the Middle Ages.. "Tell everyone... hide the weak and prepare to perish.. the Warriors are coming to town" And I can't forget Otis.. our assistant, what a wonderful person... but also trying her hardest to pull "Coach Pettit jokes" :) Coach Thompson loves to laugh at and inspire ridiculing jokes from our head coach :)

The One with the second John Mayer

I haven't figured out how to post a picture and text.. working on that.. but until then.. I'll just do double :) Last night Will, Anna, Emily, Scott, Matt, Sarah Beth, Brian, and I were in the same room with JOHN MAYER! Amazing concert.. It was will's birthday/valentine's celebration :) We stopped by the polo outlet before heading to BJCC Auditorium (can't ever pass up polo).. then headed to chipotle's for supper, which was surprisingly very good. I did, however, forget that it was February and left my jacket in Pontotoc.. the walk from the car to the concert nearly killed me! But John was definitely worth it. Even though he didn't play a few necessary classics.. still is probably the favorite concert so far :) Will, Anna, Bug(Emily), and I all got matching tshirts.. pretty excited about that. All I can say is... March 19: John Mayer in Memphis!!

The One with JOHN MAYER!!!

The One with Late Night Coffee

Only had a blog for what? four hours? I'm liking it though! I drank a starbucks frappuccino wayyyy too late and no one is awake for me to talk to.. therefore I, being the very cool person that I am, decided to talk to my blog :) I obviously don't believe in sleep anymore... but I get to see John Mayer tomorrow!!! Wooo HOOO! Expect awesome pictures.. After exploring blogspot for way to long, I'm going to try to make my over-energetic self go to sleep!

The One with the First Blog

So my "sister/friend" (as she likes to call it) Felicia, decided that I, as a soon-t0-be-Rebel should start blogging so we can "keep up with each other." And like most things, she got her way and talked me into it. Big surprise there. So here I am.. blogging.. here it goes :)
Things you should know:

-I'm a huge "Friends" fan.. thank you Melissa Boyd.. I'm collecting ALL 10 seasons :) Anyway, every episode's name is "The One with...", therefore all my blog titles will start with "The One with.." I'm super pumped about that.
-I'm graduating this year, headed to Ole Miss (Hotty Toddy!)
-My soccer season just ended, and while I am in a state of depression, we are second in the state! Not 1st, but still.. an awesome accomplishment and experience.
-I am and have been in love with Elvis Presley.. I believe there are two types of people: Elvis fans and those that are going to be Elvis fans ;) haha
-I love Jesus.. He is my Rock and gets me through my days. I love my church and my youth group.. a very amazing group of people.. I feel so blessed everyday... Its crazy.. I always wanna help people since Jesus has helped me!
-I have amazing family and friends.. couldn't live without 'em!
-I can't wait to be able to talk about my life on my blog.. It's kinda exciting..
